1.Power
Usethisrocker‐styleswitchtoturntheunitonoroff.Theprocessorisonwhenthetopoftheswitchispressedin.Itisoffwhen
thebottomoftheswitchispressedin.TheLCDDisplay[6]willilluminateandtextwillappearwhenthepowerswitch
ison.
TheDX0.5 remembers itssettings, soyou may powercycle the unitandit will resume operationusingthesame settingsas
before.TheDX0.5employsrelaysontheoutputstoprevent unwantedpopsandnoiseinthesystemwhenpowercyclingand
startinguptheprocessor.After
engagingthepowerswitch,theunitwillinitializeandtherelayswillswitch.Anyliveoutputswill
smoothlyfadefromsilencetotheirconfiguredoutputlevels.Theprocessormaynowbeedited,oritisreadyforuseiftheDX0.5
isalreadyconfiguredfortheloudspeakersystemundercontrol.
2.PowerLeadSocketandFuse
Thisiswheretoconnectthedetachablepower cableincludedwiththeprocessor.Plugtheotherendofthepowerleadintoan
ACoutlet.Theoutletshouldmatchthepowercable.
WARNING:Bypassingtheplug’ssafetygroundpincanbedangerous.Don’tdoit!
Thefuseislocatedbehindthe
fusecover,atthebottomoftheIECsocket.Seethe“Troubleshooting”sectiononpage22for
informationaboutreplacingth e fuse.
3.Main:Lift/Gnd
Thegroundliftseparatesthechassisgroundfromthesignalground.ThedefaultpositionisGND.Youmayattempttoremedy
systemgroundloophumbymovingtheswitchtoLIFT.
4.XLROutputs
ThesesixmaleXLRconnectorsprovideabalancedline‐levelsignalforeachoftheprocessor’soutputchannels.Connecttheseto
theinputsofpoweramplifiersand/orpoweredloudspeakers.
5.XLRInputs
ThesefemaleXLRconnectorsacceptabalancedline‐levelinputfromamixerorothersourcemainL/Routput.
