• DNS IP address: You should configure this, only if option for 'DNS Server' is selected as 'Static'. By
default it is blank.
• DNS Domain Name: You should configure this, only if option for 'DNS Server' is selected as 'Static'.
Program DNS Name, using 24 characters maximum. The ASCII characters are allowed. By default it is
blank.
Router's Public IP Address:
'Router's Public IP Address' is the public IP Address of the NAT router, behind which the ATA211 is located.
Program this parameter only if 'Use Router's Public IP Address' option is selected for parameter "Source Port IP
Address" programmed in the Web page 'SIP Accounts'. The 'Router's Public IP Address' is also displayed in 'Status'
page. Refer chapters “SIP Accounts” and “Checking the Status”.
By default, it is blank.
MAC Address Setting
ATA211 provides unique MAC address to its WAN port.
ATA211 also facilitates the changing of MAC address at the WAN port. The process of changing the MAC address
of a device is known as MAC Address Cloning. MAC Address Settings can be done as follow:
You can select MAC address from two options:
• MAC Address
• Clone MAC Address.
• MAC Address: If 'MAC Address' is selected, ATA211 will use pre-programmed MAC address as source
MAC address in all Ethernet frames. By default pre-programmed MAC Address is selected.
• Clone MAC Address: Select this if you want ATA211 to use MAC address other then 'MAC address', pre-
programmed. If this option is selected, program the desired MAC address manually. Only Hexadecimal
characters are allowed. By default, it is blank.
To prevent the possible collision and loss of data, do not clone the MAC address which is already used by
other device in the same network.
Enable 100rel?
This parameter is programmed to Enable/disable 100rel SIP extension. It is useful, where it is required to support
reliable transmission of (SIP) provisional responses.
Select 'Yes' if you want the ATA, to use 100rel extension for reliable transmission of SIP (provisional) responses
and to use PRACK (Provisional Acknowledgement). By default, Enable 100rel ? is 'Disabled'.
SIP Timers
ATA211 supports three programmable SIP timers viz. SIP INVITE Timer, SIP Provisional Timer and General
Request Timer.
• SIP INVITE Timer: It is the time for which ATA211 waits for a response from the called party after sending
INVITE message. This timer starts after sending INVITE message to the called party and stops on receipt
