Called Party Number Table
When there is an incoming call received on the SIP account, this call can be routed to FXS or FXO depending upon
the 'Number' for which the incoming call is received. This feature is called 'Called Party Number Based Routing'.
For this feature, the 'Called Party Number Table' is programmed in the system, using following parameters:
• Number
• Minimum Digit
• Maximum Digit
• Destination Route
In this Table, the specific 'Numbers' are programmed, for which the Incoming calls are to be received. When
the incoming call is received for any of these numbers, the call will be routed to the destination route
corresponding to the called number programmed in the Table.
Also, the destination route is specified in the first Index, which will be used by ATA for the numbers received,
which are not matching with the numbers programmed in the Called Number Table ('No Match Entry').
During incoming call, ATA may receive long number string which may not be required while out dialing the
'Number' after call routing. Hence, after receiving the call, to dial only the desired number of digits, from
destination port, ATA supports programming of 'Maximum number of digits' and 'Minimum number of digits' in
the Table.
Following points are relevant for configuring the Table:
If ATA will not wait for 'End of dialing digit' while out dialing the number, if the received the number of digits is equal
to or more than specified Maximum number of digits. (Default 'End of Dialing Digit' is '#' for the system).
If ATA has received the number of digits, less than 'Minimum number of digits' programmed in the Table, then the
caller who has made the call to ATA, will get error tone (because number will not be routed through ATA).
You can use this feature for following configurations of your ATA:
• FXS port of ATA211 is interfaced to the FXO port of PBX
• FXO port of ATA211 is interfaced to the FXS port of PBX
For example, to call the PSTN number through the ATA, the user can make call to ATA by dialing <022
24957434@WAN IP Address>. With suitable programming of Called Number Table, only the number 022
24957434 will be routed from FXO port of the ATA. Finally this call will be routed to FXS port of the PBX
which is connected to FXO port of ATA by suitable programming of the PBX for ANT and other features.
To use this feature the routing type for SIP account should be 'Route as per called party number'. Refer
chapter “SIP Accounts”.
How it works?
• When the ATA has received the called party number on the SIP Account, if the best match found in the
'Called Party Number Table' and minimum and maximum digits criteria is also satisfied with the entry
programmed in the table, the call will be routed as per the destination route programmed.
• If the received digits of called party number string is more than or equal to the programmed 'maximum
digits', ATA will consider it as end of dialing and call will be made through corresponding destination route.
• The received number is a valid number only if number of digits received is equal to or more than the
'minimum digits' programmed for that number prefix.
