Auto Configuration
'Auto Configuration' feature of ATA211 enables the customer to configure ATA from a central location. This feature
has been designed to support ITSPs, who can store the configuration files of each ATA211 that they provide to their
customers on a TFTP server. When the ATA211 connects to the IP network, the ATA211 will automatically
download the configuration files stored on the TFTP server. The customer can thus start using the ATA without the
intervention or assistance of a technician.
How it Works?
ATA211 makes use of TFTP server to download the configuration files. User has to enter the Server Address
provided by ITSP and specify the Configuration Folder Path provided by ITSP in the Web page for 'Auto
Configuration'.
The 'Resync' feature will enable ATA to search for new configuration files periodically without the ATA being
restarted.
How to program?
Open the Web Jeeves and click on 'Auto Configuration' link. (Only Admin can access this Webpage). The Web
page will be as shown below.
Configure following parameters on the Web page:
Three options are provided for Auto Configuration:
• At Next Power ON: Select this option when you want that the ATA should be configured automatically only
during next power ON. This option is disabled, by default.
• At Power ON: Select this option when you want that the ATA should be configured automatically each time
it gets power ON. This option is disabled, by default.
• Never: Select this option when you do not want to configure the ATA automatically. This option is enabled,
by default.
TFTP Server Address
ATA supports programming of the TFTP server address manually or using the address provided by DHCP
server. If you are using DHCP server in your LAN and DHCP server provides the TFTP server address, do not
configure the TFTP server address manually; else Auto Configuration feature will not work.
