Locking and unlocking
The remote rear door closing switch is
above the rear door.
1 Remote rear door closing switch
 Pull switch 1 until the door is com-
pletely closed.
 If necessary, pull the door into its lock
by hand.
 Release switch 1 to interrupt proce-
dure.
Opening the trunk from the outside
A minimum height clearance of 6.2 ft
(1.89 m) is required to open the trunk lid.
The handle is located above the rear li-
cense plate recess.
1 Handle
In vehicles without KEYLESS-GO**: The
vehicle must be unlocked.
 Pull on handle 1.
The trunk lid opens.
Warning! G
Only drive with the doors closed. Other-
wise, one or more of the doors could open
while the vehicle is in motion, putting you
and/or others at risk.

You can also close the rear doors by
hand.
Opening the trunk

The trunk lid swings open automati-
cally. Always make sure there is suffi-
cient overhead clearance.
To stop the opening procedure, press
button Š on the SmartKey or
SmartKey with KEYLESS-GO*.

The trunk can also be opened using
button Š on the SmartKey or
SmartKey with KEYLESS-GO**, or
from its inside in an emergency, see
"Trunk lid emergency release"
(
 page 123).
