sensitivity,sothatthepadwillproducealoudvolumeevenwhenstrucksoftly.
YoucanalsoadjustthesensitivityofthesplashinSPLASHSENSITIVITY.
Thissettingallowsatriggersignaltobereceivedonlywhenthepadisstruckharderthana
specifiedforce.Thiscanbeusedtopreventapadfromsoundinginresponsetoextraneous
vibrationsfromanotherpad.
Thissettingallowsyoutocontroltherelationbetweenthevelocity(strikingforce)andchanges
involume(thedynamiccurve.)Adjustthiscurveuntiltheresponsefeelsasnaturalaspossible.
Playingsnaredrumpadsandotherdeviceswithcommerciallyavailableacousticdrumtriggers
attachedmayresultinalteredwaveforms,whichmayalsocauseinadvertentsounding.Thisoccurs
inparticularatthedecayingedgeofthewaveform.RetriggerCanceldetectssuchdistortioninand
preventsretriggeringfromoccurring.Althoughsettingthistoahighvaluepreventsretriggering,it
thenbecomeseasyforsoundstobeomittedwhenthedrumsplayedfast(rolletc.).Setthistothe
lowestvaluepossiblewhilestillensuringthatthereisnoretriggering.
Whentwopadsaremountedonthesamestand,thevibrationproducedbyhittingonepadmay
triggerthesoundfromanotherpadunintentionally(Thisiscalledcrosstalk.)Youcanavoidthis
problembyadjustingCrosstalkCancelonthepadthatissoundinginadvertently.Ifthevalueis
settoohigh,thenwhentwopadsareplayedsimultaneously,theonethatisstrucklessforcefully
willnotsound.Sobecarefulandsetthisparametertotheminimumvaluerequiredtopreventsuch
crosstalk.Withasettingof0,crosstalkpreventiondoesnotfunction.
