Fullyextracttheseatbeltandallowtoreturnslowlyto
ensurecontinualandcompletesmoothoperation.
Visiblyexaminetheseatbeltformissingorbroken
components.
Ensuretheseatbeltwarningsystemisfullyfunctional.
Iftheseatbeltfailsanyoftheabovetestsorinspections
contactanMGAuthorisedRepairerimmediatelyfor
repairs.
SeatBeltsMaintenance
DONOTattempttoremove,install,modify,
disassembleordisposeoftheseatbelts.Have
anynecessaryrepairscarriedoutbyyourMG
AuthorisedRepairer.Inappropriatehandling
mayleadtoincorrectoperation.
Ensurenoforeignorsharpobjectsbecome
lodgedintheseatbeltmechanisms.DO
NOTallowliquidstocontaminatetheseat
beltbuckle,thiscouldaffectthebuckle
engagement.
Seatbeltsshouldonlybecleanedwithwarmsoapywater.
Donotuseanysolventtocleantheseatbelt.Donot
attempttobleachordyetheseatbelt,itmayweakenthe
seatbelt.Aftercleaning,wipewithaclothandallowto
dry.Donotallowtheseatbelttofullyretractbeforeitis
completelydry.Keepseatbeltscleananddry.
Iftherearecontaminantsaccumulatedintheretractor ,the
retractionoftheseatbeltwillbeslow.Pleaseuseaclean
anddryclothtoremoveanycontaminants.
ReplacingSeatBelts
Collisionaccidentsmaydamagetheseat
beltsystem.Theseatbeltsystemmaynot
beabletoprotectusersafterdamageand
maycauseseriousinjuryorevendeathwhen
anaccidentoccurs.Aftertheaccident,seat
beltsshouldbecheckedimmediatelyand
replacedasnecessary.
Seatbeltsshouldnotrequirechangeafterminorcollisions,
however,someotherpartsoftheseatbeltsystemmay
requireattention.PleaseconsultanMGAuthorised
Repairerforadvice.
