Foraddedsafety,thehydraulicbrakingsystemoperates
throughdualcircuits.Ifonecircuitshouldfail,theother
willcontinuetofunction,butgreaterpedalpressurewill
beneeded,andincreasedbrakepedaltravel,andlonger
stoppingdistanceswillbeexperienced.Intheeventofa
brakefailurewhereonlyonecircuitisoperational,thecar
shouldbebroughttoahaltassoonastrafcconditions
safelyallow.DONOTcontinuedriving-seekanMG

ServoAssistance
Thebrakingsystemisservoassisted,alwaysbeawareof
thefollowingsduringtheoperation:
Theservoassistancefullyfunctionswiththeengine
starteduponly.Neverallowthecartofreewheelwith
theengineameout.
Alwaystakeparticularcarewhenbeingtowedwithfour
wheelsonthegroundandtheengineturnedoff.Ifthe
engineshouldstopforanyreasonwhiledriving,bring
thecartoahaltasquicklyastrafcconditionssafely
allow,anddonotpumpthebrakepedalasthebraking
systemwillloseanyremainingservoassistance.
Oncetheenginehasstopped,itwillloseanyremaining
servoassistance,usesuitableforcetoapplythebrake
pedaltostopthecarsafelyinthecurrenttrafc
conditions.ContactanMGAuthorisedRepairer.
Efciencyofthebrakeservoboostercanbeaffectedby
enginestallorotherconditions,suchasthechangeof
barometricpressure.Theseconditionscouldresultin
extraforcerequiredtooperatethebrakepedaltostop
thecar .
WetConditions
Drivingthroughwaterorheavyrainmayadverselyaffect
brakingefciency.Inthiscase,keepasafedistancefrom
othervehiclesandintermittentlyapplythebrakepedalto
keepthebrakediscsurfacedry.
