HillHoldControl(HHC)
HHChaslimitationswhensubjecttoadverse
conditionssuchaswetoricysurfacesand
steepslopes.Andthedriver'sattentionto
drivingsafetycannotbecompromisedeven
whenHHCisenabled.
HHCisnotasubstituteforparkingbrake
application,otherwisetheseriousaccident
maycause.Thesystemisonlyapplicableto
thehillholdcontrolduringdriving.
WiththeHHCinservice,itisstrictly
prohibitedforthedrivertoleavethevehicle,
otherwisethesevereaccidentmaycause.
Inordertopreventthevehiclefromslipping
byaccidentwhenstartingonstop-and-go
uphillconditions,pleasefullydepressthe
brakepedalforafewsecondsbeforestart-off.
HHCassiststhedriverinstartingthevehicleonuphill,
andmeanwhilepreventsthevehiclefromslippingduring
start-off.
ThefollowingconditionsmustbefullledtoactivateHHC:
Stopthevehicleonaslopeinexcessof3%andformore
than2seconds.
SCSisfaultfree.
EPBisreleasedandfaultfree.
InDorRgear .
Engineisstarted.
Sufcientbrakepedalapplicationforcehasbeenapplied.
Ifthedriverreleasesthebrakepedalonahill,HHCwill
maintainbrakepressurefor12seconds.Ifthevehicle
failstostartinsuch12seconds,thebrakeautomatically
releasesandthevehicleslips,thebrakepedalshouldbe
depressedimmediatelyinsuchacase.
Note:HHCisavailableinbothforwardandbackward
directionswhenpullingawayonuphillslopes.
Note:If"HillHoldUnavailable"appearedonthe
messagecentre,itindicateshillholdfailsorisnot
normallyenabled.PleaseseekanMGAuthorised
Repairerurgently.
