TheASLsystemsharesthesameleverswitchasthecruise
controlsystem,locatedtotheleftofthesteeringwheel
belowthelightingleverswitch.Theswitchcanbetoggled
betweenbothfunctions,howeveronlyonefunctioncan
operateatanyonetime.
Activate
ThedesiredtargetspeedoftheASLsystemisdisplayedin
theinstrumentmessagecentre,referto"MessageCentre"
inthe"InstrumentsandControls"chapter.
WiththeignitionswitchinpositionONandthelever
switchin"ASLInStandby"position(3),theASLfunctionis
instandbymodebydefault.Brieymovingtheleverswitch
up/down(1and2)adjuststhetargetspeedofASL.The
rangeoftargetspeedadjustmentis20and130mph.
Thetargetspeedlimitvaluewillbeincreasedordecreased
by5mpheverytimetheleverswitchisbrieymoved
upwardsordownwards;pressandholdtheleverswitch
upwardsordownwards,thespeedlimitvaluewillchange
continuously.
Pressingthe"Set"button(5)willsetthespeedlimit.
Whenthesetspeedlimitislargerthanthecurrentactual
speedandtheacceleratorisnotpressedtotheend,the
