thiswillaffectdrivingsafety.

Theelectricpowersteeringsystemonlyworkswhenthe

engineisrunning.Thesystemoperatesviaamotorwith

assistancelevelsautomaticallyadjustedbasedonvehicle

speed,steeringwheeltorqueandsteeringwheelangle.

IMPORTANT

Holdingthesteeringwheelonfulllockforlongperiods

willresultinareductioninpowerassistancecausinga

heavierfeeltothesteering.

ElectricPowerSteering(EPS)WarningLamp

Referto"WarningLightsandIndicators"in"Instruments

andControls"chapter.

Ifthebatteryhasbeendisconnectedforanyreason,upon

reconnectionthewarninglampwillilluminateyellow.

Movementofthesteeringwheelfromlocktolockwill

initialisethesystemandthelampwillextinguish.
