1Pleaseplacetheremotekeyonthebottomofcentre
consolecupholderwiththebuttonupward(as
showningure).
2Depressthebrakepedal,andpressSTARTSTOP
buttontostarttheengine.
Afterthebatteryisreplacedandthecarleavesthe
interferencearea,thekeylessstartingprocedurecanstill
notbeusednormally.SeekanMGAuthorisedRepairer.
IMPORTANT
Applicationscopeofstandbystartingprocedure:
Theremotekeybatterydrainsandcannotbe
replacedintime.
Whenthevehicleisdisturbedbystrongsignals,use
thestandbystartingproceduretodrivethevehicle
awayfromthisarea,untilthekeylessstartprocedure
restoresnormalfunction.
StoppingtheEngine
Stoppingtheengine:
1Afterbringingthecartoastop,AL WAYSpressthe
brakepedal;
2Applytheelectronicparkingbrake;
3Forvehicleswithautomatictransmission,ensurethat
theshiftleverisinPposition;
Note:Iftheparkingbrakeisappliedbuttheshift
leverisnotfullyintheparking(P)position,then
theremaybebeariskofthevehiclesuddenly
movingandcausinginjurytoyourselforothers
whenstartingtheengine.
Forvehicleswithmanualtransmission,placetheshift
leverinNposition.
4PressSTARTSTOPbuttontoshutdowntheengine.
Note:Whentheengineneedstobeshutdownin
emergency,presstheSTARTSTOPbuttonformore
than4secondstoshutdowntheengine.
Note:Afterstrenuoustowingordrivingathighspeed
(particularlyinhotweather),itisrecommendedto
allowtheenginetoidleforafewminutesbefore
switchingoff,whichenablesthecoolingsystemto
workcontinuouslytolowertheenginecompartment
temperature.
