IntheeventofEPBmalfunctionwhereEPB
releaseisnotpossible,DONOTtowthe
vehiclewithallfour,orrearwheelsincontact
withtheroadsurface.Damagemayoccur.
ApplyingtheEPB
Whilethevehicleisstationary,theEPBcanbeapplied.
EnsuretheEPBisappliedeverytimethevehicleisleftor
parked.
•Pressthebrakepedal,pulltheEPBswitchupwarduntil
theindicatorintheEPBswitchilluminates.
•IftheindicatorintheEPBswitchandtheindicatorin
theinstrumentpackilluminates,theEPBisapplied.
•IftheEPBmalfunctionindicatorlamp
P
inthe
instrumentpackremainson,itindicatesthatafault
hasbeendetected.PleasecontactanMGAuthorised
Repairerimmediately.
Note:Anaudiblemotornoisemaybeheardwhen
applyingorreleasingtheEPB.
IMPORTANT
•Intheeventofaatbatteryorpowerfailure,itisnot
possibletoapplyorreleasetheEPB.Insuchacase,
'jumpleads'shallbeusedforemergencyenginestart,
pleasereferto"EmergencyStarting"in"Emergency
Information"chapter .
