Byaddingtheleftandrightadaptivefrontlightingson
traditionalheadlamps,theadaptivefront-lightingsystem
(AFS)aimstoilluminatetheblindzoneatbothsideswhen
thecarmakesaturnorrunsonthecityroad.Withthis
function,thedrivercanndothervehiclesandobstacles
inadvance,soastoimprovethedrivingsafetytoalarge
extent.
LightingModeduringCornering
Whilethecarisdrivingforwardataspeedexceeds55
km/handthedippedbeamsareon,ifthesteeringwheel
angleismorethan30°ortheturnsignallampsareon,the
systemwillautomaticallyturnontheadaptivefrontlighting
ontheappropriateside.Whenthesteeringwheelangleis
lessthan10°andtheturnsignallampsareturnedoff,the
systemwillexitfromthelightingmode.
LightingModeduringParking
Whilethecarisreversingandthedippedbeamsareon,
thesystemwillautomaticallyturnontheadaptivefront
lightingsonbothsidesandthereverselamp.Whenthe
vehiclespeedishigherthan15km/h,orthereverselampis
turnedoffformorethan10s,thesystemwillexitfromthe
lightingmode.
LightingModeforCityRoad
Whilethecarisdrivingforwardataspeedbetween5
and55km/handthedippedbeamsareon,thesystem
willautomaticallyilluminatetheadaptivefrontlightingson
bothsidesandswitchtotheoptimumlightingsettingfor
cityroadtoavoidinterferingotherroad-users.Whenthe
drivingspeedexceeds55km/h,thesystemwillturnoffthe
adaptivefrontlightingsonbothsides.
Energy-savingMode
Whilethecarisdrivingforwardataspeedlowerthan
5km/handthedippedbeamsareon,thesystemwill
automaticallyturnofftheadaptivefrontlightingsonboth
sidesandenterintoenergy-savingmode.
