TPMScannotreplaceroutinemaintenance

Note:TPMSonlywarnsoflowtyrepressure,itdoes
notreinatethetyre.
SystemOperation
ThissystemiscontrolledbytheABS,which
constantlymonitorsthespeedofeverywheel.If,during
normaldrivingconditionswiththebrakepedalnotapplied,
theABSdetectsthatonewheelisrotatingfasterorslower
thantheothers,itdeducesthatthepressureofthattyre
hasfallenbelowthepredenedlimitofthesystem.As
aresult,thewarningfunctionwillenableandtheTPMS
warninglampontheinstrumentpackwillilluminate(always
yellow).
Checkyourtyresattheearliestopportunityandreinate
tothecorrectpressure.Referto"T yrePressure(Cold)"
inthe"T echnicalData"chapter.
SystemMalfunction
Thissystemisself-monitoring,ifamalfunctionisdetected,
theTPMSwarninglamp(yellow)ontheinstrumentpack
willashfor90secondsrstlyandthenremainson.
Note:Incaseofamalfunction,TPMSsystemwill
requiresometimetoanalyseinformationbeforegiving
analarm.
UndercertainconditionsTPMSmaygivefalsealarmor
omitanalarm,theseconditionsinclude:
Drivingonicyorwetsurfaces.
Frontaxleslip(conductingdriftaction)orexcessive
lateralacceleration.
Snowchainstted.
Anonrecommendedtyretted(includingsparetyre).
TPMSnotresetaftertyrereplacement.
TPMSnotresetaftertyrepressureadjustment.
Roughterraindrivingforexcessiveperiods.
