IMPORTANT
Intheeventofaatbatteryorpowerfailure,itis
notpossibletoapplyorreleasetheEPB.Insucha
case,'jumpleads'shallbeusedforemergencyengine
start,pleasereferto"JumpStarting"in"Emergency
Information"section.
Intheeventofapowerinterruptionoratbattery,
theEPBwillnotoperateandtheEPBwarninglamp
intheinstrumentpanelwillilluminate.T orestore
normaloperation,pressthebrakepedal,pressEPB
switchandthenpullEPBswitch(thismayhavetobe
repeated),theEPBwarninglampwillextinguishand
normaloperationwillresume.
ReleasingtheEPB
Switchontheignition,pressthebrakepedal,andpress
theEPBswitch.
IftheindicatorintheEPBswitchandtheindicatorin
theinstrumentpackareextinguished,theEPBis
released.
StartAssist
TheEPBcanpredictthedriver'sintentionand
automaticallyreleasetheEPB.
Whendrivegearsisselected,pressingtheaccelerator
(TST)orliftingtheclutchpedal(MT),theEPBwill
automaticallyrelease.
EmergencyBrakingFunction
InappropriateuseoftheEPBcanleadto
accidentsandinjuries.DONOTapplythe
EPBforvehiclebraking,unlessinemergency.
DuringemergencybrakingusingtheEPB,DO
NOTswitchofftheignition,thiscouldresult
inseriousinjury.
Whenthecarisinmotion,incaseofanyemergency,such
asthecarcannotbestoppedbythebrakepedal,itcanbe
deceleratedbypullingupandholdingEPBswitch.
PulltheEPBswitchupwardandholdtorealizethe
emergencybraking.Duringemergencybraking,the
