Theroofloadsshallnotexceedthemaximum
authorisedloadfortheroof,orelsethey
mayleadtoanaccidentandcausethecar
damaged.
Looseorimproperlyxedloadsmayfallfrom
theroofluggagerackandleadtoanaccident
orcausepeopleinjured.
Whenheavyorlargeitemsarecarriedonthe
roofluggagerack,thecontrolabilityofthe
carwillchangeduetotheshiftofthecenter
ofgravityaswellastheincreaseofthefrontal
area.Avoidemergencysteering,emergency
accelerationoremergencybrakingwhenthe
carisrunning.
Payattentiontothefollowingsinusingtheroofluggage
rack:
•Fixloadstothefrontoftheroofasfaraspossible,and
distributetheroofloadevenly.
•Besuretoremovetheroofloadsandtheloading
equipmentinstalledbyyourselfpriortopassingthrough
automaticcleaningequipment.
•Theheightofthecarchangesafteritemsareloaded
ontheroofluggagerack,sobesuretocheckwhether
thecarcanpassthroughlowplacessuchasatunnelor
garagedoorinadvance.
•Theloadsontheroofluggagerackmustnotstopthe
sunroofandtailgatefromopeningoraffecttheroof
antenna.
•Becarefulnottoknockagainsttheroofloadswhen
openingthetailgate.
•Wheninstallingorremovingapieceofloading
equipment,followtheinstructionsprovidedbythe
manufactureroftheloadingequipment.
MaximumAuthorisedLoadfortheRoof
Themaximumauthorisedloadfortheroofis50kg,and
theroofloadincludestheweightoftheroofloadsandthat
oftheloadingequipmentinstalled.
Besuretoknowabouttheweightofloads,andweighthem
whennecessary.Neverexceedthemaximumauthorised
loadfortheroof.
