whentheengineisrunning.Thesystemoperatesviaa
motorwithassistancelevelsautomaticallyadjustedbased
onvehiclespeed,steeringwheeltorqueandsteeringwheel
angle.
Theelectricpowerassistedsteeringsystemhasthe
advantagesofsimplestructureandenergysaving.
Comparedwiththetraditionalhydraulicpowerassisted
steeringsystem,theelectricpowerassistedsteering
systemonlyneedsenergyinactualsteering,sothat
powerlosscanbereducedinthisoperatingwayofpower
consumptionaccordingtotheneed.

Holdingthesteeringwheelonfulllockforlongperiods
willresultinareductioninpowerassistancecausinga
heavierfeeltothesteering.
