ttedinthisvehicle.Checkmarkingsonthechildrestraint
system.
Thereareanumberofchildrestraintsystemsavailableof
differenttypeandspecication.Foroptimumprotection,
itisrecommendedthatyouchooserestraintsystems
appropriatetothechild’sageandweight.
Itisimportanttocomplywithinstallationinstructions
suppliedbythechildrestraintmanufacturerandthatchild
restraintsystemisproperlysecuredtothevehicle.Failure
tofollowtheseinstructionsmaycausedeathorserious
injurytothechildinaneventofasuddenstoporaccident.
Thecorrectuseofchildrestraintswillgreatlyreduce
children'sinjuryriskinaccidentsorrelievetheirinjury
severity,andpleasepayattentiontothefollowingswhen
youusechildrestraints:
•Alloccupants,includingchildrenmustwearseatbelts
oruseanappropriatechildrestraint.
•Itisrecommendedthatchildrenunder12yearsofage
orlessthan1.5metrestallshouldusetheappropriate
childrestraintttedtotherearseat.
•Onlyonechildcanbecarriedinanyonerestraint.
•Donotputthechildonthelaporinarmswhensitting
inanyseat.
•Alwaysadjustthesecond-rowseatbackresttoaproper
positionandensureitislockedinpositionwhen
installingachildseatorrestraintonthesecond-row
seat.
•Ifinstallingarearfacingchildrestrainttothe
second-rowseat,thecorrespondingfrontseatshould
beadjustedforwardorthesecond-rowseatshould
beadjustedrearward;Ifinstallingarearfacingchild
restrainttothethird-rowseat,thecorresponding
second-rowseatshouldbeadjustedforward.
