theprocessofautomaticenginestart.Thisoccurs
duetothelowvoltageduringstartup,notindicating
actualfaults.Ifthemalfunctionindicatorlampisstill
onforalongtimeafterenginestart-up,seekanMG
AuthorisedRepairer.
Evenifthedriverdoesnothaveanyoperation,theengine
willstartautomaticallyupondemandsofthevehicleafter
automaticstop:
•Frontdefrostison.
•Activatetheairconditioner,andthetemperatureinside
thevehicledoesnotmeetthetargetvalue.
•Batterypowerisbelowapresetlimit.
•Thevehiclespeedexceedsitslimits,forexample,when
slippingonslopes.
•Thevacuuminthebrakingsystemfallsbelowapreset
limit.
•TheStart-Stopmainswitch(3)ispressed.
Whenoneofthefollowingsoccursaftertheengineis
automaticallystopped,theenginecanonlybemanually
started,andatthistime,theStart-Stopsystemindicator
lampontheinstrumentpackextinguishes(1):
•Thedriverseatbeltisunbuckled.
•Thedriverdoorisopen.
•Bonnetisopen.
Note:Incaseoflowbattery,automaticenginestart
mayfailaftersuddename-out,inthiscase,please
referto"StarterInoperative,SeriousBatteryCapacity
Loss".
Battery
Whencharging/dischargingthebattery,or
startingthecarwithanexternalpower
sourceorsupplyingpowerfromthevehicle,
thenegativecablemustbeconnectedto
vehiclebodyearthpoint,ratherthanthe
batterynegative.Failuretodothiswillresult
ininaccuratebatterypowercalculation
whichwilleffecttheautomaticenginestart.
