MG RX8 - Auto Hold

StartingandDriving
ThefollowingconditionsmustbefullledtoactivateHHC:
•Stopthevehicleonaslopewithcertainextent.
•SCSisfaultfree.
•EPBisreleasedandfaultfree.
•InDorRgear.
•Engineisstarted.
•Sufcientbrakepedalapplicationforcehasbeenapplied.
Ifthedriverreleasesthebrakepedalonahill,HHCwill
maintainbrakepressurefor1～2seconds.Ifthevehicle
failstostartinsuch1～2seconds,thebrakeautomatically
releasesandthevehicleslips,thebrakepedalshouldbe
depressedimmediatelyinsuchacase.
Note:HHCisavailableinbothforwardandbackward
directionswhenpullingawayonuphillslopes.
Note:Whenthemessagecentreofinstrumentpack
shows"HHCUnavailable",itindicatesthatthehill
holdcontrolisinvalidorisnotproperlyenabled,please
seekanMGAuthorisedRepairerurgently.
AutoHold
Whenautoholdstopsthevehicleforreasons
suchasenginestall,releasingtheseatbeltor
pressingtheautoholdswitch,theelectronic
parkingbrakeisapplied.Itcannotbe
guaranteedthatthevehiclewillbestabilised
inallcases.Forexample,therearwheels
areonaslipperyroadsurface,orthevehicle
inclineistoogreat(largerthan20%).Please
makesurethatthevehicleissafelystabilised
priortoexiting.
DONOTtakeanyextrariskswhendriving
duetothefactthevehicleisttedwith
additionalconveniencefunctions.Thedriver
shouldpayfullattentionandobservethe
surroundingsevenifthevehicleisequipped
withautoholdsystem.
Theautoholdfunctioncannotguaranteethe
stabilityofthevehiclewhenstartingoffor
brakingonhillsespeciallyonslipperyoricy
surfaces.
