Keepthesensorsfreefromdirt,iceandsnow.
Ifdepositsbuilduponthesurfaceofthe
sensors,theirperformancemaybeimpaired.
Whenwashingthecar,avoidaiminghigh
pressurewaterjetsdirectlyatthesensors
fromcloserange.
RearParkingAid
Theultrasonicsensorsontherearbumpermonitorthe
areabehindthevehicletosearchforobstacles.Ifan
obstacleisdetected,thesystemwillcalculateitsdistance
fromtherearofthevehicleandcommunicatesthemessage
tothedriverbysoundingwarningchimes.
FrontParkingAid
Somemodelsalsohaveultrasonicsensorsequippedonthe
frontbumpertomonitortheareaaheadofthevehicleto
searchforobstacles.Ifanobstacleisdetected,thesystem
willcalculateitsdistancefromthefrontofthevehicle
andcommunicatesthemessagetothedriverbysounding
warningchimes.
ParkingAidSwitch
Theparkingaidswitchisasoftswitchlocatedinthe
entertainmentdisplay.WhentheshiftleverisinNorD
position,enterthecarsettinginterface,selectthedriving
assistant,turnon/offtheparkingaidsystem.
WhentheshiftleverisinRposition,theparkingaidcan
notbeturnedoff.
