WhentheignitionswitchisinpositionON/RUN/START ,
therearparkingaidisenabledautomaticallywhenreverse
gearisselected,anditisswitchedoffassoonasreverse
gearisdisengaged.Ashortbeepisgivenbytheparkingaid.
1secondafterselectingthereversegeartoindicatethat
thesystemisoperatingnormally.Ifanobstacleisdetected
attherear,thesystemwillpromptthedriverwithwarning
alarms.
Note:Ifalonger,higherpitchedsoundisemitted(for
approximate3seconds)whenreversegearisselected,
thisindicatesafaultinthesystem.Seekassistance
fromyourMGAuthorisedRepairer.
FrontandRearParkingAid
1.Thefrontandrearparkingaidcanbeenabledbythe
followingoperations:
•WhentheignitionswitchisinON/RUN/START
position,andthevehiclespeedislessthan15km/h,the
frontandrearparkingaidcanbeenableddirectlyby
selectingtheRgear.
•WhentheignitionswitchisinON/RUN/START
position,andthevehiclespeedislessthan15km/h,
youcanselecttoenabletheparkingaidswitchatNor
Dgear .
2.Thefrontandrearparkingaidcanbeshutoffbythe
followingoperations:
•SelectPgear;
•Whenthevehiclespeedexceeds15km/h,thesystem
willbeautomaticallyoff;
•WhenthevehicleisinNorDgear,selecttoturnoff
thefrontandrearparkingaidswitch.
Withtheparkingaidfunctionenabled,whenobstacles
aredetected,thesystemwillgivesoundsindifferent
frequencies(theremightbeblindzones).
•Ifanobstacleislocatedwithin1.5mrangeofthe
rearparkingaidsensorsorwithin0.6mrangeofthe
cornersensor,thewarningcommences.Asthecar
movesclosertotheobstacle,theaudiblesoundsare
transmittedmorerapidly.
•Ifanobstacleislocatedwithin1.2mrangeofthe
frontparkingaidsensorsorwithin0.6mrangeofthe
cornersensor,thewarningcommences.Asthecar
