Advanced Control Panel
Settings window
To view information about the functions of the Advanced Control Panel, position the
cursor
over any button, icon, or bar on the panel. Click the grabber pointer to
activate the related pop-up information dialog box. Or select the topic that you wish to
view from the links below.
Shows the current scan job, image types
selected, output resolution and unit options.
Scan Frame settings, Output settings, Scaling,
and
Unit of Measurement.
Scan Frame options (Locks) and Transform tool
Advanced Image Correction (AIC) tools:
• White/Black Points tool for adjusting highlights
• Tone Curve tool for controlling gray intensity
• Brightness and Contrast tool for balancing
light/dark shades
• Color Correction tool for adjusting color
saturation
• Filter tool for applying/creating special effects
• Descreen tool for removing moire patterns
when scanning magazines/newspapers
• DIGITAL ICE option lets you enable DIGITAL
ICE-implemented scanners to automatically
remove dust, scratches, cracks, creases, folds,
and other defects of the scanned images.
• Automatic Color Restoration option lets you
bring faded colors back to life.
