  If the engine coolant temperature is low on your Miller Portable Generator, have a Factory Authorized Service Agent check the engine thermostat for proper operation and replace it if necessary. During operation in severe cold weather, it may be necessary to restrict inlet cooling air by partially blocking the unit's air inlet louvers. Be sure not to restrict the engine combustion air inlet or engine exhaust or exit cooling air, and remove the restriction when the severe cold weather ends to prevent engine overheating.

Verify the Manual/Remote switch on the Service Panel is correctly positioned. Check to ensure the crane power switch and safety interlock are working. If the problem persists, have a Factory Authorized Service Agent check the Remote Panel.

  If the engine on your Miller Portable Generator does not return to idle speed, remove all generator power loads, compressor loads, and hydraulic loads. Check the remote panel and crane pendant to see if the system is locked in high speed. If the ambient temperature is below 50°F and the engine temperature is less than 100°F, warm up the engine to 100°F. If these steps don't resolve the issue, have a Factory Authorized Service Agent check the circuit board PC1 and current transformer CT1.

  If your Miller Portable Generator has high air pressure, adjust the compressor air pressure using the EnPak Remote Panel. Make sure the control line is connected at the valve manifold and Intake Control Valve (P-IC1). Also, check for a frozen manifold, Intake Control Valve (P-IC1), and/or Proportional Flow Control Valve (P-FC1).

  If the air compressor on your Miller Portable Generator stops during normal use, it could be due to an automatic shutdown triggered by high compressor temperature or an over-pressure condition. Check the compressor oil level. Also, check for a clogged oil cooler and clean any debris from it. Ensure all covers, panels, and doors are in place and that you are operating in an area with proper airflow. Check for an over-pressure condition by turning on the compressor and monitoring the air pressure and remote display for error messages.
