  If the crane lifting capacity is not met on your Miller Portable Generator (low pressure), the pump maximum pressure setting may be too low, check the setting and correct as necessary. Check the crane model hydraulic requirements and reset the pump if needed. Other potential issues include a relief valve in the crane system set too low or stuck open from contamination, or a hydraulic pump belt slipping. In these cases, it is necessary to see crane owner’s manual to correct, or replace belt and/or tensioner.

  If the engine on your Miller Portable Generator does not return to idle speed, remove all generator power loads, compressor loads, and hydraulic loads. Check the remote panel and crane pendant to see if the system is locked in high speed. If the ambient temperature is below 50°F and the engine temperature is less than 100°F, warm up the engine to 100°F. If these steps don't resolve the issue, have a Factory Authorized Service Agent check the circuit board PC1 and current transformer CT1.
