• Open the filtration unit lid while
maintaining the base with the other hand
• With the same hand, now pinch the
funnel to separate it from the membrane
assembly
• Tilt the lid sideways to remove it

• Place the lid onto the media plate/
membrane assembly and lock it
• Place the media plate upside down. It is
ready for incubation
Optional: empty filtration unit trays can be
used to transport and to incubate the media
plates/membrane assembly. When placing
media plates/membrane assemblies on the
trays, the lid tab must be positioned out of
the tray.
