8.4 Failed elution of labeled cells
In very rare cases the elution buffer does not run through the columns of the Multi-24 Column Block after the
vacuum impulse has been applied. If so,
l plug the column air-tight, for example with a glove covered thumb, to create a minimal overpressure that re-
engages elution buffer flow through.
l ensure that the plug is sterilized, if sterile conditions are required.
8.5 Poor elution recovery
If the elution recovery is poor, ensure that:
l base and lid of the MACS Elution Chamber are assembled correctly without tilting.
l the lid of the MACS Elution Chamber and labware sealing are dust free, intact, and positioned correctly.
If the problem persists or if a sealing has to be changed, please contact Miltenyi Biotec Technical Support.
