Service Guide
Control if in service menu the spirometry parameters are set on “simplified”; in this setting is not
possible to make VC and MVV tests
Choose “Personal” or “Complete” to visualize all the parameters and then perform VC and MVV tests
Check the signal using the test points shown below:
The signal measured with an oscilloscope must be a square wave with amplitude more than 2 V.
6.6. The device does not measure spirometry correctly
Check if any obstacle is disturbing the free rotation of the turbine.
For information about maintenance cleaning please refer to the paragraph 4.3.3 of this manual.
Check the accuracy with the calibration syringe.
Make several tests FVC at different in/expiration speeds.
Check the measured volume. It may differ ± 3% or 50 ml, depending on which value is bigger (i.e. using
a 3000-ml-syringe, the measured valued must be between 2910 and 3090 ml, using a 1000-ml-syringe,
between 950 and 1050 ml)
Check if a calibration has been made and if necessary recalibrate to original setting (see section Turbine
Calibration in the User Manual).
Check the signal using the test points showed below:
The signal measured with an oscilloscope must be a square wave with amplitude more than 2 V.
6.7. The device does not measure oximetry at all
Check if the devices is provided with the oximetry function or not
Check the internal software version the correct version must be 1.8 or higher
If the version less than 1.8 , upgrade the software following the instruction on point 4.3.4 of this manual
