Synchronizing mobile contacts
When you pair and connect a mobile phone for the first time, your phone
automatically attempts to sync your mobile contacts to the Directory appli-
cation. You can also manually synchronize or update your mobile contacts.
To pair a mobile phone using the Mobile key:
1. Press the function key for Mobile.
2. Ensure that Bluetooth functionality is enabled. If it is not enabled, swipe the
Bluetooth toggle switch to the right.
3. Press Available Devices.
Your phone scans for supported Bluetooth devices.
4. Select the mobile phone you want to pair to start the pairing process.
The phone attempts to pair the Bluetooth device and if successful, auto-
matically connects to the Bluetooth device.
If pairing or connecting fails, an error message displays on screen. Press
Retry to attempt to pair or connect again, or Cancel to cancel the attempt.
5. Press the Ok button to acknowledge the successful connection.
Your mobile phone is added to the list of Paired Devices and is ready to
use.
Note: For mobile phones and some other Bluetooth devices, a Bluetooth pairing
request displays on both the phone and the respective mobile phone or Blue-
tooth device. Ensure the pairing code matches on both devices and press Yes
on the phone and acknowledge the pairing request on your mobile phone or
Bluetooth device.
Press the Ok button to acknowledge the successful connection.
The connected Bluetooth device is added to the list of Paired Devices and is
ready to use.
To manually synchronize or update your mobile contacts:
Ensure that you have paired your mobile phone with your Mitel SIP phone. See
"Pairing a mobile phone using Bluetooth", page 80
.
Press the contacts key on the phone.
