Icemaker
A standard crescent
cube
type icemaker
is
used
on
this
model.
The
icemaker
is
mounted
to the side of the
liner
in the
upper
portion of the freezer
compartment.
To
remove
the icemaker, disconnect the
icemaker
power
cord, loosen the
mounting
screws, then
lift
the icemaker
off
the
screws
and
disengage the
fill
tube.
NOTE:
The
feeler
arm
on
this
ice
maker
has
been
modified
to
prevent premature shut
off
of the icemaker.
If
a replacement icemaker
is
installed,
replace the
new
feeler
arm
with the original or
bend
the
new
feeler
arm
to
match
the
original.
Water
Fill
Adjustment
To
Initiate
a
test-cycle
of the icemaker,
connect the icemaker
power
cord,
remove
the
front cover
and
with a
small
blade
screwdriver,
rotate
the
motor
shaft
counter~lockwise
approximately
l/8-turn
to
engage
the
hold
switch. Attempting to turn
the
motor
shaft while the
motor
is
energized will
likely
result
in gear
strippage,
either
inside the motor, or
externally. After the
motor
begins
operation, the cycle will continue until
the
ejector
completes
one
revolution,
(approximately 3-minutes).
To
check
the water
fill
quantity,
hold
a
bottle,
graduated
in
cubic centimeters
(cc's)
under
the
fill
tube
and
collect
the
water
that
is
dispensed.
The
fill
quantity
should
be
at
least
100
cc's
but not
more
than
150
cc's.
To
either
increase or decrease the water
fill
quantity, turn the adjustment
screw
in
the direction indicated
on
the
plate.
One
full turn of the adjustment
screw
will
change
the water
fill
quantity
by
approximately
20
cc's.
Ice Storage
Bin
Location
The
ice storage bin
is
located
on
the top
shelf
in
the freezer
compartment
on
non-dispenser models.
