Se il veicolo dovesse essere tenuto fermo per lungo
periodo di tempo (es. per la stagione invernale) occorre
prendere le seguenti precauzioni:
■ pulire accuratamente tutto il veicolo;
■ vuotare il serbatoio e impianto di alimentazione. Se
dovesse essere lasciato per lungo tempo, il carburante
evaporerebbe lasciando residui ed incrostazioni;
■ smontare le candele ed immettere nei cilindri un
poco di olio SAE 30. Quindi far compiere alcuni giri
all’albero motore e rimontare le candele;
■ ridurre la pressione dei pneumatici di circa il 20%;
■ sistemare il veicolo in modo che le ruote non tocchino
terra;
■ proteggere con olio le parti non verniciate in modo
da preservarle dalla ruggine;
■ smontare la batteria e riporla in un luogo asciutto
dove non vi sia pericolo di gelo e non sia a diretto
contatto con la luce solare; controllare la carica ogni
mese circa;
■ ricoprire il veicolo per proteggerlo dalla polvere
avendo però cura che circoli aria.
Storage
If the vehicle is to remain idle for a considerable period
of time (e.g. for the winter period) it should be stored in
the following way:
■ clean the vehicle thoroughly;
■ empty the fuel tank and feeding system. If left for a
long time, the fuel will evaporate leaving incrustation
and residue;
■ remove the spark plugs and put a few drops of SAE
30 oil into che cylinder. Turn the crankshaft for a few
revolutions and then replace the spark plugs;
■ reduce the tyre pressures by 20%;
■ position the vehicle so that its wheels are not
touching the ground;
■ smear a layer of oil on unpainted parts to prevent
rust;
■ remove the battery and store in a dry place away
from the direct sunlight and where there is not danger
of frost; check the battery charge once a month;
■ cover the vehicle but in such a way that the air can
circulate.
