Common Radio Features

• Selecting the Feature

On conventional channels, you must monitor the channel for

activity before making an individual call (see page 16 for details).

1a. Press

until one of the following

softkeys appear on the display:

for a

Telephone Call

for a Private-Conversation

Call or a Selective Call

for a Call-Alert Page

2. Press

M directly below the desired softkey feature. For example, to make

a telephone call, press

M directly below PP

3. The display changes to show the last telephone number dialed or the ID

number of the last call/page transmitted/received.

1b. If your radio has been

programmed for “quick-

access” to a feature (consult

your service technician), press

the designated button for

either the Phone, Private

Call, Selective Call, or Call

Alert feature. This will take

you directly to step 3.
