Getting Started
After D-PTT tone is sent keeping PTT pressed will result in
permission to talk. D-PTT tone is not audible on sending
radio.
Modifying the Type of Call
The infrastructure can modify the type of call you started.
For example, you might start a simplex Private Call, and the
infrastructure could modify the call to a Group Call.
The terminal will alert you of the modification and will display
the following messages, depending on the type of call:
Call Modified (to duplex)
Call Modified Use PTT (modified to simplex)
Continue the modified call depending on the type of call.
Receiving Calls
The MTP850 Ex/MTP810 Ex will automatically receive the
incoming call. Additionally, if Inactivity Revert Mode is
enabled, the MTP850 Ex/MTP810 Ex returns automatically to
the Home display, after that call ends.
Your MTP850 Ex/MTP810 Ex will alert you of an incoming
call depending on the setting you selected in the Tones menu
option (see page 118).
During message viewing, you will be alerted of an incoming
Group/Emergency/Broadcast Group Call if configured by
your Service Provider.
