Setting temperature gradients
ü Make sure that the temperature on the temperature sensor remains con-
stant during the setting process.
ü Open the cover plate.
1. Write down the temperature currently displayed (e.g. 30°C).
2. Connect a constant current source to terminals 3 and 6.
Figure62: Current source connection
3. Set the nominal secondary transformer current I
w
(e.g. 2A) on the current
source.
Determining the heating current
ü The value of the temperature gradient is specified by the transformer
manufacturer (e.g. gr=20K).
1. Read the associated value for the heating current from the setting curve
(desired value, 1.05A in this example).
2. Determine the voltage on terminals 4 and 5 using a high-resistance volt-
meter.
ð Value of the heating current: IH=V/0.1.
