10 Maintenance
Inspection and maintenance are required for the operational safety and to
maintain measurement accuracy.
10.1 Inspection
Monitoring of the device is limited to occasional visual inspections and a reg-
ular oil extraction. For efficiency reasons, these inspection tasks can be
combined with the usual checks on the transformer.
Check the following:
Interval Recommended measure
Annually Visual inspection: Check the perfect condition of the sealing
points.
Annually For devices with display: Check display function.
Every 2years Send oil sample to Messko GmbH.
Observe the information in the following "Oil extrac-
tion" [►Section 10.3, Page 69] chapter for this.

To compare the current measured values of the device with the laboratory
analysis, proceed as follows:
ü According to the laboratory analysis, the gas concentration of hydro-
genH2 and carbon monoxideCO is at least 50ppm.
ü According to the laboratory analysis, the moisture content H2O is at least
5ppm.
ü The ambient temperature is between -20°C and 60°C.
ü The oil temperature is between 10°C and 90°C.
1. Evaluation of the measured values only makes sense under these condi-
tions. In case of doubt, contact Technical Service [►Section 10.2, Page
68].
2. Compare the values of the laboratory analysis with the current measured
values of the device.
ð If the measuring accuracy complies with the information in the "Techni-
cal data" chapter, a field calibration is not required.
ð In the case of a deviation from the accuracy specified, proceed as de-
scribed in the Field calibration chapter.
