15.3.3. Transmitter controls for the ACRO type
The picture below shows which functions are operated
by the individual transmitter controls in the ACRO
model type.
Switch functions
Teacher button (Trainer) Emergency throttle OFF
and FIX (fixed value) (Throttle Cut)
Combi-Switch Snap-Flap
Dual Rate Flight phases PH
1, 2, 3
(Î 15.9.)
Slider functions
AUX1 Spoiler (modes 1 to 4)
or Throttle (modes 5 to 8)
15.3.4. Selecting the THROTTLE idle position
forward / back
Menu: (
SETUP, MODEL) TH R
THR R = Throttle Reverse
The idle position of the transmitter control for throttle
(stick or slider) can be forward (towards the aerial) or
back (towards you). When you set up a new model, the
default setting is:
GAS R = 0
This means: the throttle idle position is back.
Important: your selected idle position relates to the
function, and not to the transmitter control. If you have
selected one of the stick modes 1 to 4, TH
R acts
upon the stick; in modes 5 to 8 it affects the right-hand
slider.
Note: throttle servo / speed controller works in the
wrong “sense”
If you have decided on the idle position, but the power
system in your model runs to full-throttle at this setting,
you must reverse the throttle servo (Î 13.4.1.). The
idle position must be left as it is, to ensure that THR-
CUT (= throttle cut = emergency motor OFF), throttle
check (Î 13.3.5.) and the throttle / elevator mixer work
correctly.
Selecting THR R does not reverse the throttle servo!
Selecting the throttle idle position:
4 to MENU, r (SETUP appears),
r (MODEL appears), r (MODE appears),
3 to TH R, r (0 or 1 flashes)
“0” or “1” flashes in the bottom line.
THR R = “0”: idle back (default)
THR R = “1”: idle forward
Use the 3-D digi-adjustor to select 0 (back) or 1 (for-
ward). A brief press r concludes the process, and the
flashing ceases. The setting is stored.
15.3.5. Selecting the SPOILER idle setting
forward / back
Menu: (
SETUP, MODEL) SP+L R
SP+L R = Spoiler Reverse
(L stands for Limiter with Helis.)
The idle position of the transmitter control for Spoiler
(stick or slider) can be forward (towards the aerial) or
back (towards you). When you set up a new model, the
default setting is:
SP+L R = 0
This means: the spoiler idle position is forward.
Important: your selected idle position relates to the
function, and not to the transmitter control. If you have
selected one of the stick modes 1 to 4, SP+L R acts
upon the right-hand slider; in modes 5 to 8 it affects the
stick.
Selecting the Spoiler idle position:
4 to MENU, r (SETUP appears),
r (MODEL appears), r (MODE appears),
3 to SP+L R, r
“0” or “1” flashes in the bottom line.
SP+L R = “0”: idle position forward (default)
SP+L R = “1”: idle position back
Use the 3-D digi-adjustor to select 0 (forward) or 1
(back). A brief press r concludes the process, and the
flashing ceases. The setting is stored.
15.3.6. Setting up Throttle Check
Menu: (SETUP, MODEL) TH C
HK
What is Throttle Check?
Throttle Check is a safety query of the throttle control.
This function avoids the danger of power systems
bursting into life unexpectedly, endangering and even
injuring you and others. It is a simple means of improv-
ing safety when operating any powered model.
How does Throttle Check work?
If the Throttle Check function is activated, the transmit-
ter checks whether the throttle control is at the idle
setting every time the transmitter is switched on, and
when you switch to a different model memory. If not,
the screen continues to display the message “GAS>0”
until you move the throttle control to the idle position. At
the same time the throttle channel (receiver output 4) is
held at idle.
