This function is to specify the heater control modes depending on the current capacity.
By using an appropriate setting, it can also minimize paper cocklings caused by heating system during
printing.
• When inserting power cords set into the power sockets, the following current capacity is required
for VJ-2638. If you cannot ensure the capacity, insert Power cord sets separately into different
power sockets.
• When “Heater Ctrl” is “EcoMode”, “Eco/Fixer” or “Eco/Dryer” : 26A
• When “Heater Ctrl” is “Powerful”, “Pow/Fixer” or “Pow/Dryer” : 30A
Setup item Setting Description
Heater Ctrl <EcoMode> The heater temperature gradually increases.
It requires less current capacity than the Powerful mode.
Select EcoMode when the place does not have large current
capacity and paper cocklings do not occur.
Powerful The heater works at full power.
The temperature increases faster than the EcoMode.
Select Powerful when the place has a sufficient current
capacity and paper cocklings do not occur.
Eco/Fixer It requires the same current capacity as the EcoMode.
Select Eco/Fixer to reduce waiting times before printing and
paper cocklings.
Pow/Fixer It requires the same current capacity as the Powerful mode.
Select Pow/Fixer to reduce waiting times before printing and
paper cocklings.
Eco/Dryer It requires the same current capacity as the EcoMode.
Select Eco/Dryer to keep the drying performance after
printing when using a Heavy-Duty Take-up Unit and
minimize paper cocklings.
Pow/Dryer It requires the same current capacity as the Powerful mode.
Select Pow/Dryer to keep the drying performance after
printing when using a Heavy-Duty Take-up Unit and
minimize paper cocklings.

• [Enter] key: saves the setting and shifts to the selected
menu.
• [Cancel] key: cancels the setting value and shifts to the
previous menu.
