4 Description
4.1 Function
E-PAK 500 has been designed to lter non-combustible dust and welding fumes in a high
vacuum system.
E-PAK 500 is a complete vacuum unit with a direct-driven side channel fan tted as one unit
on a steel frame and a start and control unit with an integrated 24 V transformer. E-PAK 500 is
Y/D started. The unit has automatic start/stop and automatic lter cleaning in two stages.
Filtration in two stages
In the rst stage, the inlet separates course particles. In the second stage, ne particles are
separated on lter bags.
Automatic lter cleaning
E-PAK 500 uses lter cleaning by a short blast of reversed air ow with atmospheric pressure.
By the rapid opening of the lter cleaning valve located on top of the lter, a powerful blast of
reversed air ow is created, efciently dislodging dust from the lter bags.
Figure 3shows the function of E-PAK 500 according to the following:
1. Air ow during normal operation and collection of dust.
2. Air with atmospheric pressure released into the lter during lter cleaning.
3. Short blast of reversed air ow during lter cleaning.
4. Filter cleaning valve.
