If the piston does not fall down, the piston may not evacuate properly. If the incoming
compressed air is disconnected, the piston should fall down allowing the lid to close the
lter top opening.
8 ATEX Duct Isolaon Valve sengs
This is for ATEX units with the Duct Isolaon Valve and Duct Isolaon Damper.
8.1 Flush Cycle sengs
One of the already occupied outputs is used to control the Duct Closing Damper. Output
DO12, is used to control Duct Isolaon Damper; it is the same output that controls Flush
Valve 2.
If the Duct Isolaon Damper is installed, it reduces the ush funcon to only one ush
valve, Flush Valve 1.
The soware can sll control both ush valves but in this soware, but the Flush Valve 2
seng is changed.
8.1.1 FlushCy1(T) (Timer)
Control Flush Valve 1, has output DO5 Terminal 73 and 74.
This funcon is sll in standard operaon and sengs. Default seng T10 = 10 seconds.
8.1.2 FlushCy2(T) (Timer) (Dual Funcon)
Control Flush Valve 2 or Duct Isolaon Damper, has output DO12 Terminal 64 and 65.
This funcon is sll in standard operaon, default seng is changed and adapt to the Duct
Isolaon Damper seng.
If you use DO12 to a Duct Isolaon Damper, there is no need to set FlushCy2(T). T=0 is the
default.
1. Duct Isolaon Damper seng
T=0s (Default seng)
2. Flush Valve seng
T=10s
8.2 Tuning Duct Isolaon Damper sequence
Use gure ‘3’ as a reference when reading this tuning descripon.
Normally the default seng a is proper starng point to use and test the FlexPak system.
If a problem occurs such as an unintended acvaon of the Duct Isolaon safety valve, it is
me to consider tuning the Duct Isolaon Damper sequence.
8.2.1 FCDely(T) Parameter
Filter cleaning delay me is used to ensure that the Duct Isolaon Damper is closed before
the rst lter cleaning (FC) pulse.
To set FCDely(T) parameter, it is necessary to know how long me it takes for Duct Closing
Damper to go from Open to Closed.
Test the me it takes for the Duct Closing Damper to close at the default Vacuum set point
for the system.
