RING prompt for an SMS message
Upon receipt of an SMS message, the RING pin outputs a high pulse with a pulse width of 600
ms. The following figure shows the RING prompt for an SMS message.

Forcible download control

USB_BOOT is the pin for forcible download control. Connect USB_BOOT to VDD_1P8 by using a pull-
up resistor transiently during the module startup, and the module will enter the forcible download mode.
This is the last method to handle issues that result in startup or running failures. To facilitate the
subsequent software upgrade and debugging of the module, it is recommended to reserve this pin.
Add an ESD component to protect USB_BOOT in a circuit. The following figure shows the reference
design of forcible download.
