8.8.17 Group 16 - Protection Action
These parameters define how the soft starter will respond to different protection events. The soft starter can trip,
issue a warning, or ignore different protection events as required. All protection events are written to the event log.
The default action for all protections is to trip the soft starter.
Protections 16P Ground Fault and 16R~16W RTD/PT100 are only available if the RTD/PT100 and ground fault
protection card has been fitted.
CAUTION
Defeating the protection may compromise the starter and motor, and should only be done in the case of
emergency.

Options: Trip Starter (default)
Warn and Log
Log Only
Description: Selects the soft starter's response to each protection.
16A: Motor Overload
16B: Excess Start Time
16C: Current Imbalance
16D: Underpower
16E: Overpower
16F: Reserved
16G: Reserved
16H: Frequency
16I: Input A Trip
16J: Input B Trip
16K: Motor Thermistor
16L: Starter Communication
16M: Network Communication
16N: Heatsink Overtemperature
16O: Battery/Clock
16P: Ground Fault
16Q: RTD/PT100 A
16R: RTD/PT100 B
16S: RTD/PT100 C
16T: RTD/PT100 D
16U: RTD/PT100 E
16V: RTD/PT100 F
16W: RTD/PT100 G
16X: Low Control Volts
