If Restart standby timer is selected, operating the multi
selector when the standby timer expires will activate the meters
and start the standby timer.
If Do nothing is selected, the timer
will not start when the multi selector is pressed.
Selecting Ye s allows adjustments that are normally made by
holding the E, S (Q), I, BKT, Y, W (M), T, U, or
AF-mode button and rotating a command dial to be made by
rotating the command dial after the button is released.
This also
applies to controls to which Active D-Lighting has been
assigned as a “press + command dial” option for Custom Setting
f1 (Custom control assignment, 0 97).
Setting ends when any
of the affected buttons is pressed again, the shutter-release
button is pressed halfway, or the standby timer expires.
