Selecting Enable release allows the shutter to be released when
no memory card is inserted, although no pictures will be
recorded (they will however be displayed in the monitor in
demo mode).
If Release locked is selected, the shutter-release
button is only enabled when a memory card is inserted in the
camera.
A The MB-D17 Multi-Power Battery Pack
The display for the MB-D17 is shown at right.
In the case of EN-EL18a/EN-EL18 batteries,
the display shows whether calibration is
required.
If AA batteries are used, the
battery level will be shown by a battery level
icon; other items will not be displayed.
