Using Operation Buttons on Ni-E
Various operation buttons are provided on the front, right, and left of the Ni-E main body. The following describes the
function of each button (factory default setting):

Display panel Displays either the “microscope state” or “FUNCTION button's function”. Use the
[DISPLAY SWITCH] button to select the display.

DISPLAY Previous button Switch the microscope state on the display panel to the previous pattern.

DISPLAY Next button Switch the microscope state on the display panel to the next pattern.

Brightness Control
button
Change the brightness of the display panel. The brightness changes in the following
order by pressing the button: Bright Dark Off Bright ...

Z-RESET button Reset the Z-axis coordinate value on the display panel to 0.000 μm.

FUNCTION button

Buttons 1 and 2: Rotate the condenser counterclockwise and clockwise.
Buttons 3 and 4: Rotate the excitation filter wheel counterclockwise and clockwise.
Buttons 5 and 6: Rotate the barrier filter wheel counterclockwise and clockwise.

BINO optical path
button
Direct 100% of the optical path to the binocular (with status indicator LED. 100% to
the binocular when the LED is on and 100% to a tube adapter or to a rearport when
the LED is off)

FRONT optical path
button
Direct 100% of the optical path to the tube adapter (with status indicator LED. 100%
to the tube adapter when the LED is on and 100% to the binocular or to the rear port
when the LED is off)

REAR optical path
button
Direct 100% of the optical path to the rear port (with status indicator LED. 100% to
the rear port when the LED is on and 100% to the binocular or to the tube adapter
when the LED is off)

Power LED
Displays the power ON/OFF status of the main body and control box A. The LED
lights up when the power is on.

Sleep LED
The LED is on when the device is in sleep mode (where the power supply to
motorized devices is suspended to minimize the generation of noise). Turn on /off the
sleep mode from DS-L3.
