8.2 Electrical Issue
WARNING
Always isolate the lathe from its power source
before carrying out the following checking procedures
SYMPTOM

NO Display on screen
when the main power is on
10-pin ribbon cable
1. Dismount the HMI from the headstock.
2. Unplug and re-plug the grey ribbon cable firmly as it
may have become loose during shipping.
Rotor Fault
Spindle
Index Pin
1. Check if the spindle index is engaged. Disengage the
spindle index if engaged.
2. Check if there is anything preventing the spindle from
turning.
3. Remove the obstruction and try starting the motor
again.
RP State Error (0 or 1)
Motor optical sensor
1.
Turn the spindle by hand to see if this will cause a
breakthrough in the material that has built up around
the sensor.
2. Blow air through the headstock blowing away the
foreign material built up around the sensor.
PFC Corrector (Flashing)
Headstock body
1.
CAREFULLY
Touch the lower section of the headstock
and see if it is hot to the touch.
2. Turn off the headstock main power switch and leave it
to cool down for a period of time. Restart the headstock
after it has cooled down.
