Instruction Manual Easygraph
8 Maintenance
8.1 Care and Cleaning
Always disconnect the main plug
before cleaning the unit!
The Housing
Do not use aggressive cleaners containing chlorine,
solvents, abrasives, or powerful chemicals!
It is best to clean the outer surface of the housing
with a soft cloth and an antistatic cleaner.
The outer surfaces can also be wiped with a damp
cloth. In this case, please wipe away residues using
a mixture of equal parts of alcohol and distilled water
to which a splash of a standard commercial
dishwashing liquid has been added.
Ring calotte
The ring calotte is a precision-made part and should
not be subjected to pressure. Its surface is easily
scratched.
For this reason please clean the surface of the ring
calotte with particular care. Use a lint-free, dry cloth,
but make absolutely sure that no dust gets into the
small bore holes.
If necessary, the unit can also be cleaned carefully
with a very slightly dampened cloth.
8.2 Eliminating Errors or Malfunction
8.2.1 Troubleshooting
Never connect or disconnect a cable
while the PC or the Easygraph are
turned on!
If a problem occurs which you cannot solve with the
following directions, please label the unit "Out of
Order" and get in touch with our service department.
Problem: The PC shows the following message after
the examination software is started: "No
communication with Easygraph"
Please check, whether the Easygraph is
connected to the power supply and to the USB
interface of the PC. If not, connect the cable
correct (cf. 6.5 page 9)
Caution! This cable may not be connected or
disconnected while the Easygraph is on, as
this can destroy the camera of the Easygraph!
Inspect the fixation LED in the center of the ring
calotte (bring your eyes very close to the unit for this
purpose):
If the fixation LED is off, the Easygraph
presumably still has no voltage.
Problem: The measurement software does not
start
Start the examination software.
Select "Examination" / "New Examination (Eye)".
If the software shows only an image of the
examination procedure but the examination
procedure itself does not start, the software is set to
Demo-Mode.
In order to set it to the normal procedure, enter the
"Settings" menu and activate "[System]" (cf. 7.5.4
page 60) in order to enter the data transmission field.
“Mode” must be set to “online” there. Then press
the [Save] button in order to exit from the "Settings"
menu.
Turn off the PC and the Easygraph’s electric power
supply and restart the system.
Problem: The results of measurement do not
meet expectations
It is required to carry out a reference measurement.
Reference table of the Easygraph is stored in the
PC’s memory. If you exchange the PC you must
likewise carry out a reference measurement (cf. 7.6.1
page 71).
