Smart Card Registration Procedure

Preparation 1
(1) Install the smart card reader.
See the separate smart card reader leaet for the installation procedure.
(2) Enable the smart card option.

Preparation 2
The two following methods are available to register smart cards.
- Registration by the administrator with the user maintenance tool
- Registration by the users with the Printer
For details on the method using the user maintenance tool, see the User’s Manual
of the software.
The following describes the procedure to register smart cards with the Printer.
(1) Congure Smart card Registration.
Set Smart card Registration to Allow.

After this step, the smart card has not been registered yet.
(3) Congure User Authentication.
