1-4-4 Mechanical problems
Problem Causes/check procedures Corrective measures

No primary original feed.
The surfaces of the DP forwarding pulley, DP
feed pulley or DP separation pad are dirty
with paper powder.
Check and clean them with isopropyl alcohol
if they are dirty.
Check if the DP forwarding pulley or the DP
feed pulley is deformed.
If so, replace (see page 1-5-2).
Electrical problem with the original feed
motor.
See page 1-4-5.

Originals jam.
Originals outside the specifications are used. Use only originals conforming to the specifi-
cations.
The surfaces of the DP forwarding pulley, DP
original feed pulley or DP separation pad are
dirty with paper powder.
Check and clean them with isopropyl alcohol

Check if the contact between the eject roller
and eject pulley is correct.
Check visually and remedy if necessary.
Check if the contact between the switchback
roller and switchback pulley is correct.
Check visually and remedy if necessary.
