Confirm that a beep is heard when pressing the brightness button. When a beep is
not heard, the light source may malfunction. Contact Olympus.
The brightness indication is interlocked with the brightness indication of the
connected video system center. When the brightness buttons on the video system
center are pressed, the brightness indication on the light source varies in an
interlocked operation.
5 Hold the distal end of the endoscope at a
distance between 30 and 40 mm to the object
and press the brightness buttons (“–” or “+”).
Confirm the following:
• Each time either of the brightness buttons is
pressed, a beep is heard and the brightness
increases or decreases accordingly. The
brightness indicator also increases or
decreases.
• When either of the brightness buttons is
pressed continuously, successive beeps are
heard and the brightness indicator increases or
decreases continuously.
• The brightness of the light emitted from the
distal end of the endoscope increases or
decreases according to the brightness.
