CLV-190 INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Ch.5
Chapter 5 Operation
The operator of the light source must be a physician or medical personnel under the supervision of a
physician and must have received sufficient training in clinical endoscopic technique. This manual,
therefore, does not explain or discuss clinical endoscopic procedures. It only describes basic operation
and precautions related to the operation of the light source. Before using the light source, make sure to
perform inspection of the light source as described in Chapter 4, “Inspection”.
• Be sure to wear protective equipment, such as eye wear, face mask,
moisture-resistant clothing and chemical-resistant gloves that fit properly and are
long enough so that your skin is not exposed. Dangerous chemicals and/or
potentially infectious material, such as blood and/or mucus of the patient may
cause an infection.
• Should any irregularity be observed, do not use the light source. Damage or
irregularity may cause an electric shock.
